Energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001:2011
As part of its sustainability programme, especially its energy policy, AMINO is committed to precise monitoring and reduction of its electricity, gas and water consumption, with a particular focus on coolant consumption. An overarching energy management system in accordance with DIN ISO 50001:2011 was introduced and has now been successfully certified.
“The company is fundamentally committed to conserving resources and increasing efficiency, and we are delighted that our certification in accordance with DIN ISO 50001 positions our company’s practices in an overall economic context that benefits the environment,” says Dr Lutz Thomas, Managing Director of Amino GmbH, with regard to the objectives of the system. “Following strong company growth in recent years, it’s crucial for the site’s future direction and infrastructure to identify and sustainably reduce energy consumption for all processes,” adds Kathrin Ebers, AMINO’s Energy Management Officer. “By introducing an energy management system in accordance with DIN ISO 50001, we have created an operational framework within which we aim to further increase awareness of energy consumption and, consequently, permanently reduce it.”
